Roots of Doubt

Getting to the root of all doubt is important, for the scripture tells us that if we doubt we are going to go without in life.  God wants us to have all the confidence so that when we believe for something it comes to pass.  I have discovered that if you can get to the root of all doubt you can stop it from getting into your heart.

2010 Vision

The Lord is good!  He has not only given us direction for 2010, but he has equipped us to do mighty works.  We are preparing and making plans for some very exciting things on the horizon.  Let me share some of the highlights and be sure to watch for more as the vision comes to pass!

—Expanded Bible Training Center which will accommodate a 5-day per week schedule, allowing students hands on training for local and international missions work.
—New Multipurpose Facility preparations for building.  This takes time, but we have our permits, and we are driving forward to raise needed funds to complete the job.
—Enhanced worship experience, using our state of the art technology to help guide our congregation into a quality time with the Lord.

There is so much more to share, so stay tuned!

No More Limits!

Have you ever felt like you just couldn’t get to where you wanted in life because of one reason or another?  Not enough time, not enough money, not enough experience - the list of reasons could be endless.  Well, did you know that in the will of God for YOUR LIFE, you can do ALL THINGS?  (Philippians 4:13)

Revelation Fire

The Lord offers many promises to His children, as we read in the Word of God.  Some of those promises are for provision, some are for restoration, and some offer hope.  A promise, however, is only as reliable as the promiser, and God never fails and always comes through when it comes to His Word.  Lately I have been inspired to share with you the need for FRESH FIRE as it pertains to revelation knowledge given by God.  His Word is His promise, and His promises are always true, always yes and amen.

Press On!

“...I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”    - Philippians 3:14

Paul says that if he learned anything throughout his ministry, it was that he learned to forget the things of the past and to reach for the things that lie ahead. He learned he couldn’t afford, spiritually speaking, to camp out on his mistakes, or the mistakes of others. He had to continue reaching forth for the good things God had in store.

The New Birth Gives New Dreams

God did not save you just to keep you out of hell. He also saved you so you could partake in the inheritance He has for you. This inheritance is not just for the life to come, but for the life you are living right now.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”  -1 John 5:4,5

Drive the Doubt OUT!

“Doubt” is a bad word. In the language of the Christian, it really should be seen as a profanity. Does that seem a little extreme to you? Well, it shouldn’t! To define the word, ‘doubt’ means to “be uncertain about; consider questionable or unlikely; hesitate to believe; to distrust; to be uncertain about something; be undecided in opinion or belief.” As people of faith, I hope you can see why I think this is such a lethal mindset to the Christian walk.

In Matthew 13, we see Jesus coming to his hometown. The people who witnessed Jesus grow up from childhood, who now stood before them preaching and teaching with authority, are the same people who did not receive healing from Jesus because he could not “…do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matt 13:58)

Faith from the Heart

After 25 years of ministry, I have seen all kinds of things. I have definitely seen my share of the good, the bad and the ugly. The hardest thing to witness is seeing well-intentioned people repeatedly fail at receiving God’s will in their lives.  God offers us peace, joy, strength, and so many promises in His Word; His will for us as believers in Christ are good and precious promises.

Praying According to the Word

One of the common mistakes we make when we pray is praying out of tradition rather than out of the clear teaching found in God’s Word.  Some people think if we ask God over and over again, He will eventually grant our requests.

Seeking After the Lost Sheep

For years I have heard this expression regarding a backslider falling into sin: People would say ‘so and so” fell from grace—or if a ministry fell into sin, they would always say, ‘“so and so” fell from grace.’  But when you study the Bible it has a completely different view.  In Romans 5:20, it says “Where sin abounded grace does much more abound.”  In other words, when a believer falls into sin, they do not fall FROM grace they fall INTO grace…they fall into the wonderful grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Start a Revolution of Change - Pt. 1

Whatever your life is like—really good, really bad or somewhere in between—you have the power to change it all…one word at a time. You have the power to speak to every facet of your life and start a revolution of change.  You have the power to alter the course of your marriage, corral your children who may be straying into dangerous places, even propel your career from okay to better than you ever imagined—all by the way you speak.  No, it’s not some magical, hocus-pocus formula. It’s learning to recognize the power God has given to you, and learning how to use it according to His will.

More Than Enough with Plenty Left Over - Pt. 2

In the phrase, “the young lions lack,” the original Hebrew meaning of lack refers to being destitute in the animal kingdom. Like most animal young, lion cubs are not able to feed themselves and are dependent upon the parents to provide for them. If there is a famine or drought, the young lions will suffer and be without the basics necessary for survival. Consequently, they will perish.  The second time lack is used in Psalm 34:10, it has a completely different Hebrew root. Its meaning conveys the understanding that you shall not lack the things you want in life…or the good things you want out of life.

More Than Enough with Plenty Left Over - Pt. 1

So many times, well-meaning Christians don’t understand God’s intentions to bless them, mostly because they don’t really understand what God’s word actually says. For example, I’ve heard believers say, “God may not give you want you want, but He will always give you what you need.” Where is that in the Bible? It isn’t.  And as a result of believing wrong information, many Christians live their lives convinced God is only obligated to provide the basic necessities of life. They believe that having the basics met is evidence of walking in the perfect will of God. Nothing could be further from the truth.God loves His children and He wants to lavishly give to them.
